Can test apps on the iPhone again

OK, well that was a little embarrassing. Turns out the whole problem with my apps not testing was that I didn't put in an asterisk in my bundle identifier. You see, if you don't put an asterisk in your bundle identifier, you get all kinds of of code sign errors that will make your life abslolutely miserable. Now, if I understood the the how-to videos on Apple's development portal correctly, at some point I'm actually going to have to make an actual bundle identifier if I want to get a program into the App Store. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. For right now, I think I'm going to celebrate by going for a little run.

iPhone certificate reinstallation: I'm on a mission from God

OK, it's just me, the MBP, my iPhone, a bunch of Google searches. Let's go. Quick rehash: My first year came and went in the developer program, so my certificates expired. For whatever reason the certificates just don't renew themselves when you re up with the developer program. So I've removed the expired certificates, and went into the development portal to get new ones. However, I'm getting the dreaded codesign error, and so now I'm stuck, as least as far as testing on the actual iPhone hardware, the simulator still works. I'm going to wipe out my new certificates and try it again, see if I missed something

Ron Paul wins CPAC straw poll

My main man Ron Paul won the CPAC straw poll yesterday. Of course, the MSM and even Fox News is dismissing it, but it should be noted that he throttled everyone, including previous 3 time winner Mitt Romney 31-22. No one else polled above single digits. If RP can continue to build his organization, he may be able to win the Iowa caucuses in 2012. This would give him huge momentum going into New Hampshire, whose "Live Free or Die" residents voted for another septuagenarian, John McCain, twice. If he wins those first two contests he might be able to overcome a Mike Huckabee win in South Carolina for a showdown in what is likely to be the biggest Super Tuesday ever, with 20-25 states participating.

Ron Paul is a prolific money raiser, able to drop money-bombs that pull in millions in a 24 hour span. He can be appeal to the youth vote every bit as well as Barry Obama, who's youth movement will likely leave him in droves. If he can do an end run around Fox News and talk radio and get enough Tea Party folk going his way, he's got a real shot. He's got two years to get it done. Do work son!

iPhone Certificate problems

Code Sign error: The identity 'iPhone Developer' doesn't match any valid certificate/private key pair in the default keychain So I'm on my second year in the development program of the iPhone and now these certificates are not working. Any ideas?

iPhone app asking me for me iTunes password

I've seen some odd errors in Xcode before, but this one takes the cake: When I test my app on the iPhone, it's asking me for iTunes password. Why would it do this? The only thing I can think of is that I had a download that failed while using iTunes on the iPhone, but what does that have to do with my app? Things that make you go hmmm....

Happy New Year!

Happy new year, well new decade for that matter. OK now that we got that out of the way it's time to start that resolving stuff. I resolve to do one thing this year: Get an app in the app store. Easier said then done, but now that I got MBP and my couch back, I am in prime coding shape. Time to do work!
